You can usually transfer other pension rights into the LGPS.
Employees in England and Wales - you can:
- Transfer previous LGPS pension rights
- Transfer from another pension scheme you had in a previous job
- Transfer from your personal or stakeholder pension
- Transfer Additional Voluntary Contributions
You have only 12 months from joining the LGPS to opt to transfer pension rights, unless your employer allows you longer
